For State Representative, 20th LD
I grew up in a military family, my father served in the Army. He taught me a lot about what it means to serve your country. That's why I decided to join the Air Force after college. It w

as a very special moment for me when my father commissioned me a 2nd Lieutenant.
After eleven years of service in the Air Force, eight of them at
McChord AFB in Tacoma, my family and I decided to settle permanently in Washington. Following my service, which included participation in the first Gulf War, I went to work for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. I've served in a number of roles there, most recently working policy and legislative issues for the Aquatic Resources Division.
I already know how to fight for children and families. With the help of my wife, Kim, I tried to move legislation to help support new mothers when they return to work. For our efforts, we were nominated for the 2005 Voices for Children Award, presented by the Washington Children’s Alliance. We were also recognized with a feature story and cover picture in the March 2006 issue of Puget Sound Parent magazine.
I am also active in my community and I am a Commissioner and Secretary for the Tanglewilde Park and Recreation District in Lacey. I am also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
My wife and I have two sons Lance (6) and Logan (4).
